The Digital Euro Is Well On Its Way

The digital euro would be for all Europeans to use, from everywhere to everybody and everywhere they want to send the money in the euro area. It would be risk-free and simply technological progress, says Executive Board member Fabio Panetta at the @EBFeu’s online event.

Don’t be mistaken, the euro CBDC will only be a tool for control. It will allow governments and agencies to monitor transactions to a granular level, data mine for unwanted behaviour, freeze assets, inflate the supply at-will, and more that we haven’t even thought of yet.

The only way out of this by something that they can’t control, and that is bitcoin and bitcoin alone.
